It’s here and I feel like I have to tell the whole world… which is what I am doing! Now that FileMaker 16 is officially announced, there are lots of exciting things to talk about that are now possible. Hello. I am off-line, returning to email on September 7th.
20 years in, a founding Bee reflects
Julian Nadel is president and founder of Beezwax. He’s celebrating the 20th Anniversary of Beezwax with this, his premier Beezwax Blog post.
Many CEOs of tech consultancies spend their time on the frontlines of code or clients.
This week the Beezwax crew found a fun way to give back to Oakland by participating in the Computer Science Education Week (CSEdW), Hour of Code. The Hour of Code exposes children to the basics of computer science, including sequential instructions, loops and conditional statements.
The Beezwax Team will be in Las Vegas July 20-23, 2015 for the FileMaker Developers Conference, which is celebrating its 20th Anniversary. While we still hotly debate when best to double down at blackjack, and can only hope an Elvis impersonator will insist we stay off his blue suede shoes, there is one sure bet about DevCon: It’s the place to collect a jackpot of information by attending some of the more than 70 sessions and unsessions covering the latest trends in FileMaker development.
A new version of our free bBox FileMaker plug-in is now available.
Some of the changes since the last release are:
- better support for Python results, in particular lists & sets
- curl, sort, bash, and grep commands now allow up to 7 parameters
- better handling of invalid parameters to FileRead and PasteboardGet functions
- added the Python function fm.evaluate
- more examples in the demo file
